 | The Institute for Communication Research ICR is a private, non-profit organisation dedicated to research, teaching, and services in the area of applied communication sciences.
ICR sees itself as a vital link between science and society.
Since it was founded in 1988, ICR has been active not only in teaching, but also in research, and in the development of services in the areas of intercultural communication, intercultural mediation, e-learning, and knowledge management.
ICR is one of the largest providers of continuing education and post-doc programs in intercultural communication, e-learning, and knowledge management in Switzerland.

Certificate Intercultural Communication
(in German)You are privately or professionally involved in different socio-cultural settings and situations. You are interested in questions of intercultural communication, international understanding, and cooperation. You are looking for reliable, praxis-oriented know-how to solve problems in these areas. The Certificate Course in Intercultural Communication enables participants to develop competencies and find solutions in all areas of intercultural encounter in both the private and the public sectors. The program deals with issues in the areas of: Minorities, Migration, Integration, Ethnicity and Identity, Extremism, Diversity Management, etc.
The Certificate Course begins every October und lasts approximately 5 months.
This Program can be taken as part of the Master Program in Intercultural Communication.
further information | Certificate in Diversity Management (in German)You are looking for solutions and techniques to manage heterogeneous teams and groups. You are responsible for optimizing performance, communication and efficiency in situations marked by diversity. The Certificate Course in Diversity Management offers a sound basis in the theory and praxis of diversity management in the personal and organizational levels. The Certificate Course Diversity Management begins in the Fall of every year and lasts approximately 5 months.
This Program can be taken as part of the Master Program in Intercultural Communication.
